Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Gelding Age: 4 Height: 16.1hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline Adoption fee: $1,200 Location: ASPCA Equine Transition and Adoption Center at Nexus Equine — El Reno, OK Meet Mischief Humor AKA Victor! Are you sick of doing barn chores without a friend there to tell you that you’re doing a great job? Are you bored of getting things done without a buddy kindly requesting that you spend time with him instead? If so, we might have the horse for you! Victor is a sweet and silly 4 year old OTTB who would much rather be the center of your attention. He has lived a lot of life in his 4 years, and has arrived here in Oklahoma ready to find a family to give him the love and adoration he deserves. Victor does have a track record, but the racing life was not for him and he only ran 3 times before he was retired. He has been very lightly restarted under saddle, and was reported to be an easy-going guy with more woah than go. While we have yet to assess him under saddle at our facility, we expect him to transition easily to life as a riding horse. While we think Victor is stunning inside and out, he does have some physical differences that make him stand out from the herd. He has noticeable lordosis, more commonly known as a sway back. He has been assessed by our vet, and we do not expect this to negatively impact his riding career. We expect Victor to show potential in a variety of disciplines. Victor gets along well with other horses, although he would prefer that no one steal the fries off his plate and is happiest when fed separately. Victor’s perfect adopter is someone who has been looking for a horse to build a relationship with, and is experienced enough to show Victor that a great relationship also includes healthy boundaries. If you have been on the search for the next love of your life, consider giving Victor a chance- he just might win your heart! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this most-deserving boy. ASPCA is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Rescue website: http://www.aspca.org
