This Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how TackTack (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you access or use our website, mobile applications, and related services (the “Platform”).
Marketplace role. TackTack is a marketplace that helps connect buyers and sellers of equestrian-related products. Sellers list items and buyers purchase from sellers. TackTack does not own listed inventory and is not the seller of items listed by users.
Where we operate. TackTack is based in California and offers the Platform to users across the United States. The Platform is intended for U.S. users.
2) Information we collect
We collect information from you, from your device, and from how you use the Platform. Depending on your activities, we may collect:
- Identifiers & Contact Info: name, email address, phone number, username, account identifiers.
- Account & Profile Info: profile details you provide, preferences, and settings.
- Transaction & Order Info: purchase details, order status, payment confirmations, shipping information (such as address), and related communications.
- Communications: messages and other content exchanged through the Platform (e.g., buyer ↔ seller messages).
- Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, session data, approximate location derived from IP address.
- Customer Support Info: information you provide when you contact us.
Sensitive information. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (as defined under California law) unless it is necessary to provide the Platform or comply with legal obligations.
3) Sources of information
We collect information from:
- You: when you create an account, list items, make purchases, message other users, or contact support.
- Your device and browser: via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 10).
- Service providers: such as payment processors, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, and shipping/carrier tools, as applicable to your use of the Platform.
4) How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Platform.
- Facilitate transactions and communications between buyers and sellers.
- Process payments and provide customer support.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Improve Platform performance, user experience, and product features.

5) How we disclose information

- Other users: as needed to complete a transaction (e.g., sharing shipping details with a seller, or order status with a buyer).
- Service providers: such as payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, customer support tools, fraud-prevention tools, and email/communications providers.
- Shipping and logistics: carriers and shipping tools as needed to ship items.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect users, TackTack, and the Platform.
We do not disclose personal information for unrelated purposes without your consent, except as permitted or required by law.
8) California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:

- Access a copy of the personal information we have about you.
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

How to submit a request. Email hello@tacktack.co with your account email and the request type (Access / Delete / Correct / Opt Out). We may need to verify your identity and request additional information to process your request.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and verification of identity.
9) Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud/abuse, and enforce our agreements.
We may retain certain records (including transaction and communications metadata) for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes, even after account closure, as permitted by law.
10) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no security measure is perfect and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
11) Children’s privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12) Third-party links and services
The Platform may link to or integrate third-party services (for example, payment processors and analytics providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for third-party practices.
13) U.S. operation
TackTack is based in California and operates the Platform from the United States. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States, where laws may differ from those in your state of residence.
