Breed: Grade Gender: Mare Age: 17 Height: 15.2hh Color: Gray Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline Adoption fee: $500 Location: Houston Humane Society — Houston, TX Trista is a 17-year-old gray draft cross mare with a gentle face and a calm presence that makes her easy to like from the moment you meet her. She's spent the past several years as a broodmare, raising babies, and now she's ready for her next adventure: a home of her own where she can be the star instead of the mom Because her years were spent as a broodmare, Trista's ridden or driven history is still being figured out. She's currently waiting on a behavioral evaluation, so we don't yet know what kind of job she's best suited for. What we do know is that she presents as a patient, quiet mare who handles basic everyday care well. We're working to understand her ground manners, how she handles pressure, and what kind of work, if any, she's suited for. Once her evaluation is complete, we'll have a much clearer picture of the right match, and we'll share those results with anyone interested. Houston Humane Society is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Houston Humane Society here on tacktack to ask about Trista and the adoption process.
