Breed: Grade Gender: Mare Age: 20 Height: 14.3hh Color: Black Disciplines: Therapy - Non-Riding, Lessons/Therapy, Trail Riding, Companion Adoption fee: $500 Location: Houston Humane Society — Houston, TX Mitzi is a 20-year-old black mare with a wise, steady presence that's easy to appreciate. She's a senior girl with plenty of good years ahead, and she's looking for a home where she can settle in and be loved. Mitzi is broke to ride, which is a wonderful start — she has experience under saddle. That said, she's currently pending a behavioral evaluation, so we're still working to understand her full picture: her temperament, how she handles pressure, and what kind of rider and job would suit her best. Mitzi is looking for an adopter who appreciates an older, experienced mare — someone who wants a dependable partner for light riding and quiet companionship. With her years of experience, she may be a wonderful fit for a patient rider who values a horse with history and heart. Houston Humane Society is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Houston Humane Society here on tacktack to ask about Mitzi and the adoption process.
