About this item

Breed: Grade Gender: Mare Age: 16 Height: 14.0hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Companion Adoption fee: $500 Location: Humane Colorado Harmony Equine Center — Franktown, CO This lovely girl is a sweet soul who has spent her time here becoming a wonderful companion to both horses and people. She truly enjoys having friends around her and has a way of becoming a special part of the herd. Now, she is looking for a family who will give her the peaceful retirement she deserves. Due to severe arthritis, she is companion-only and is not available for riding. She can become lame with running or strenuous activity, so she is happiest taking things slow and enjoying the quieter side of life. Her ideal home would be a peaceful place where she can spend her days out in the pasture, enjoying plenty of grass, sunshine, and the company of friends. While she is incredibly sweet, she does have a little personality to her! Like many mares, she can be a bit opinionated and has just enough sass to keep you on your toes. Her adopter should be a confident horse person who appreciates a mare with some personality and understands how to work with her individual quirks. She may no longer have a riding career ahead of her, but she still has so much love and companionship to give. She would make a wonderful pasture companion and a lovely addition to a family looking for a horse to simply enjoy and care for. She deserves to spend her retirement years feeling safe, happy, and cherished. If you're looking for a sweet companion mare with a big heart, a little personality, and plenty of love left to give, she may just be the special girl you've been looking for.
