Breed: Grade Gender: Mare Age: 19 Height: 15.3hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline Adoption fee: $500 Location: Houston Humane Society — Houston, TX Ellie is a 19-year-old bay mare with a curious, bright-eyed nature that makes her hard to miss. She's a senior girl with plenty of good years ahead, and she's looking for a home where her inquisitive spirit can be appreciated. Ellie's training history is still being figured out — we're unsure whether she's been ridden, so her background under saddle isn't confirmed. She's currently pending a behavioral evaluation, which will help us understand her temperament, her ground manners, and what kind of home and job might suit her best. The thing that stands out most about Ellie is her curiosity. She's an observant mare who's interested in the world around her, which often points to a bright, willing horse underneath. Ellie is looking for an adopter with patience and experience — someone willing to take on a horse whose training picture is still coming into focus. For a home that offers her time and understanding, she could be a wonderfully rewarding partner with a lot of personality to give. Houston Humane Society is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Houston Humane Society here on tacktack to ask about Ellie and the adoption process.
