About this item

Breed: Paso Fino Gender: Gelding Age: 11 Height: 15.0hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline Adoption fee: $800 Location: Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare Inc. — Rio Grande, PR Chocolate – A True Survivor with a Heart of Gold Chocolate’s story is one of resilience. He came into our care after being hit by a car, when local police reached out for assistance. While we don’t know much about his past, the scars on his body tell a story of hardship—but despite it all, Chocolate has remained kind, trusting, and full of heart. He recovered better than we could have ever expected and has truly blossomed in our care. Today, Chocolate is a lovely horse who gets along well with others, has no known vices, and is an easy keeper. Under saddle, Chocolate can be a bit strong at times, so he does best with a confident, experienced rider. Due to past trauma, including significant injury to his tongue, Chocolate is ridden comfortably in a hackamore or bitless setup, where he goes well with the right guidance. Choc is a willing and versatile partner who enjoys having a job and is happy to try new things. He would thrive with someone who understands him and can provide consistent, knowledgeable handling. He is up to date on all vaccinations, deworming, and farrier care, and is ready to find his forever home with someone who will give him the second chance he truly deserves.
