About this item

Breed: American Quarter Horse Gender: Mare Age: 13 Height: 14.3hh Color: Red Roan Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline, Other, Companion Adoption fee: $1,000 Location: Mountain Shadows Equine Revival — Laramie, WY Adora is a shy, soft-natured mare who takes time to build trust but shows a genuinely sweet and kind personality once she feels safe. She is extremely smart and picks up on new things quickly. She has a solid foundation in groundwork and responds best to a calm, confident handler valuing consistency. Adora is currently working on becoming more comfortable with farrier care and will require an experienced adopter who can continue this training. She can be spooky in new situations, tending to pause and assess rather than react explosively. With reassurance and steady leadership, Adora gains confidence and settles quickly. She thrives on routine and clear communication. She had groundwork skills in and out of the round pen. Adora is excellent with other horses and has polite, respectful pasture manners. She enjoys the company of her herd mates and would do well in a home with at least one compatible companion. This mare would be a great fit for an advanced handler who enjoys groundwork, confidence-building, and developing a trusting partnership with a sensitive but affectionate horse. With patience and routine, we believe this sweet girl could do anything. Mountain Shadows Equine Revival is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale.
