Breed: American Paint Horse Gender: Mare Age: 17 Height: 15.0hh Color: Chestnut Disciplines: Companion Adoption fee: $850 Location: Mountain Shadows Equine Revival — Laramie, WY Meet June! This beautiful 16-year-old mare arrived in June 2026 as an owner surrender. Her previous family loved her deeply and went above and beyond for her. Given changing circumstances, they chose to place her in our care so she can receive the specialized management she needs for her next chapter. As she settles in, our top priority is her comfort and health. June has been diagnosed with DSLD (degenerative suspensory ligament disease), which means she will have to be a companion horse, and kept comfortable with supportive care such as medications, supplements, and special considerations for the environment she will live in, for the rest of her life. She has had extensive training in the past so she doesn't bat at eye at farrier trims, blankets, fly sheets/masks, trailers, fly spray, or any of the "normal" horse activities she may come across. Mountain Shadows Equine Revival is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Mountain Shadows Equine Revival here on tacktack to ask about June and the adoption process.
