About this item

Breed: Appaloosa Gender: Mare Age: 16 Height: 15.2hh Color: Appaloosa Disciplines: Barrel Racing/Timed Western, Trail Riding, Dressage, Western Pleasure Adoption fee: $1,500 Location: Nexus Equine-Ellie — Oklahoma City, OK Gossip is an ApHC-registered mare with plenty of athleticism and a great fit for the show pen or a fun new job at playdays! Under saddle, Gossip is responsive, soft, and a pleasure to ride. She saddles easily, takes the bit very well, and listens closely to leg cues and your seat. She neck reins beautifully, collects when asked, and has a BIG stop! She also offers a very comfortable trot and lope, making her a fun ride in the arena or out at playdays. Gossip is very busy-minded and needs an experienced rider who is comfortable handling high-energy horses. When she is focused on her handler or given a job, she excels. However, she can become anxious when alone and may pace when tied by herself, so she would do best with a pasture mate and an experienced handler who understands her needs. Gossip also remembers her in-hand showmanship cues and has the knowledge, athleticism, and conformation to stand out in the show pen. She picks up all four feet well and is easy to handle on the ground. With her striking looks and responsiveness under saddle, Gossip has plenty to offer the right person. Whether you want to take her into the show pen or get out and have fun at playdays, this mare is ready for a job! Nexus Equine, Inc. is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale.
