About this item

Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Gelding Age: 7 Height: 16.2hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Companion Adoption fee: $600 Location: Nexus Equine-Ellie — Oklahoma City, OK Haskelled — Companion Only Haskelled is a beautiful gelding who has recently begun his retraining process here at Nexus after time away from his racetrack career. He spent time at the track as a pony horse for younger horses learning the ropes, which is a great testament to the kind of gelding he is. He has a good mind, takes new environments in stride, and is a playful guy out in the pasture. Haskelled has plenty of personality and could easily become an excellent candidate for tricks, liberty work, and other fun groundwork activities. He picks up his feet well and stands nicely for fly spray and baths. He can be a little impatient at times and has tons of energy! Haskelled has a milder case of kissing spine and does not do well with weight on his back without the involvement of injections or possible surgery. Because of this, he is being offered as a companion horse. We have updated X-rays and veterinary recommendations available for interested adopters to review. Haskelled is up to date on his Coggins, vaccines, microchip, dental, and farrier work. He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a playful, personable horse who can continue learning through groundwork, liberty, tricks, and other activities that don't require riding. Nexus Equine, Inc. is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Nexus Equine, Inc. here on tacktack to ask about Haskelled (Rascal) and the adoption process.
