About this item

Breed: Donkey Gender: Gelding Age: 3 Height: 11.0hh Color: Gray Disciplines: Companion Adoption fee: $500 Location: Nexus Equine-Ellie — Oklahoma City, OK Spam Spam is a sweet and curious donkey who has been making great progress since arriving at Nexus! He can be a little skittish, but his curiosity often gets the better of him, and he always wants to know what you're up to. He is also a big fan of a low-calorie treat, which can be a great way to make friends with him. Spam has spent time out with horses and gets along very well with them, making him a great candidate for a home with equine companions. He is less enthusiastic about dogs, so he would do best with dogs that are kept out of his pasture. Spam has begun learning to lead and is doing very well with it. With continued consistency and training, we expect him to become even more confident and reliable. He is still learning the basics and will do best with an experienced owner or someone who has access to a trainer who can continue building on the foundation he has started here. Donkeys don't tend to stay with us long, so if Spam sounds like the right fit for you, reach out to us about the adoption process! He is also available for pre-adoption, but cannot leave our care until his required veterinary evaluation and care have been completed. Nexus Equine, Inc. is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Nexus Equine, Inc. here on tacktack to ask about Check Your Spam Folder (Spam) and the adoption process.
