About this item

Breed: Shetland Pony Gender: Gelding Age: 6 Height: 9.0hh Color: Brown Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline, Companion, Driving, Therapy - Non-Riding Adoption fee: $500 Location: Nexus Equine-Ellie — Oklahoma City, OK Coming Soon: Ranger Ron Meet Ranger Ron, an absolutely adorable Shetland pony with big cheeks, wild hair, and the cutest little whinny you've ever heard! This little guy has a personality that makes him hard not to love, and everyone here at Nexus has already taken quite a liking to him. Ranger Ron is still learning to come out of his shell, but he's making wonderful progress every day! We're currently working on his ground manners, picking up all four feet, becoming more comfortable with being caught, and learning to lead more softly. He's still figuring out what we ask of him, but he is picking things up so quickly. It's exciting to watch his confidence grow as he learns that handling doesn't have to be such a big deal! Like many ponies, Ranger Ron may need a little time and patience to show you his full personality. Giving him the opportunity to learn at his own pace and building a relationship based on consistency will go a long way. We think that once he settles in and comes out of his shell, he's going to be an excellent little pony with so much to offer! As for his future? The possibilities are exciting! Ranger Ron could make a wonderful companion for your existing herd, bringing plenty of personality to the pasture. With continued training and evaluation, he might even have potential as a cart pony for someone interested in taking on a fun little project. We're still learning about everything he knows, so we're looking forward to seeing what else this cute guy has up his sleeve. Between his charming looks, his unforgettable whinny, and the progress he's making every day, Ranger Ron is quickly becoming a barn favorite. He's proof that sometimes the smallest horses leave the biggest impressions! We're continuing to help Ranger Ron build his confidence and polish his ground manners before his full adoption listing is available. Stay tuned for updates on this little cowboy. We have a feeling he's going to make someone very happy! Nexus Equine, Inc. is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Rescue website: https://www.nexusequine.org
