She last raced on 6/6/26 and retired with a left front sesamoid fracture with suspensory involvement. She did have a chip removed from the sesamoid but still needs time for the suspensory to heal. In February 2025 she had a right front sesamoid fracture non displaced that did not require surgery and was sent back to training once healed. In 2024 she had warmth in her left front tendon but there were no lesions, swelling or damage noted on ultrasound. This is no longer an issue. Nakoma is a well behaved filly with a sensible attitude. She is currently on round pen turnout. She settled in quickly to our farm and is enjoying her retirement. She is pleasant to work with and enjoys her bathing and grooming sessions. She seems level headed and sensible and doesn’t seem to have any vices. She walks politely on a lead rope and is respectful to her handlers. Vet eval pending.
