Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Filly Age: 4 Height: 16.0hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline, RRP Thoroughbred Makeover Eligible Adoption fee: $950 Location: Second Stride — Crestwood, KY 4 year old thoroughbred filly bred in KY Hit It A Bomb (War Front) out of Lion in Wait by American Lion Eligible for the Retired Racehorse Project's THOROUGHBRED MAKEOVER COMPETITION! 16 hands. She last worked on 3/1/26 and only raced once. She did fracture her left front fetlock and has 3 screws in the leg. Bomba is NOT explosive in anyway and her name does not describe her. She is very sweet and manageable and is easy to work with. She has settled in nicely to retirement and is turning out with a group of mares. She gets along well with her friends and is quiet in the field. She is well mannered in the barn and is respectful of her handlers. She is sound and should be suitable for mid-level disciplines provided the top screw does not irritate her. The screw can be removed only if it becomes an issue. She is well behaved under saddle and did what was asked of her. She is currently only sound at the walk, so we are going to give her until early November to heal. Second Stride is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Second Stride here on tacktack to ask about Waitinonabomb and the adoption process.
