Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Gelding Age: 26 Height: 16.0hh Color: Chestnut Disciplines: Companion, Trail Riding, Other Adoption fee: $800 Location: Kentucky Humane Society Equine CARE — Louisville, KY "Lazarus" is a 2000 chestnut 16hh Thoroughbred gelding who came to us to find a soft place to land when his owner was moving. He was once a racehorse but left the track a long time ago. So far he is a mannerly and friendly fellow. He does have a very faded lip tattoo, but it seems to be illegible. Lazarus had been living as a pasture puff for years. A quick training evaluation determined that he does still remember how to be ridden and would make a nice partner for rides around the backyard, a trail stroll, or perhaps schooling dressage. He is a bit rusty under saddle, but tries to please and seems to have a good heart about him. If you are interested in adopting Lazarus as a companion horse or as leisure-riding partner, please feel free to apply. Find our other adoptable horses and our adoption application here: https://www.kyhumane.org/adopt/adoptable-horses He sure is a classy and handsome fella. Please contact us today if you are interested in adopting Lazarus or one of his friends. Kentucky Humane Society is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale.
