About this item

Breed: Pinto, American Paint Horse, Grade Gender: Gelding Age: 13 Height: 15.3hh Color: Paint/Pinto Disciplines: Companion Adoption fee: $500 Location: Kentucky Equine Adoption Center — Nicholasville, KY 2013 15.3 HH Brown/White Paint Gelding New arrival! Dakota is a sweet, affectionate gelding who loves attention and would make a wonderful companion for the right home. This cuddle bug enjoys being around people and has a gentle personality that makes him a pleasure to spend time with. Dakota is currently barefoot and is being evaluated by our veterinary team for soundness concerns. There is a possibility of rotation in his coffin bone, and he is not currently pasture sound. While we continue working toward a diagnosis and determining the best way to manage his needs, Dakota is living on a dry lot to help limit sugar intake. He currently receives ½ scoop of Hallway Feeds Encompass™ once daily. Because of his current soundness concerns, Dakota is available as a non-riding companion. If you're looking for a sweet horse to love and care for, Dakota may be the special companion you've been waiting for. We’ll continue to share updates as we get to know Dakota better and learn more about his personality and care needs.
