About this item

Breed: American Paint Horse Gender: Mare Age: 17 Height: 14.1hh Color: Sorrel Disciplines: Companion Adoption fee: $500 Location: Humane Society of North Texas — Fort Worth, TX 🧡Meet Haven! This adorable mare was rescued from a very bad situation and is seeking a peaceful new home. After working on building her confidence through our connection based rehabilitation training program, her sweet personality is starting to shine! She will now follow you around wherever you go and loves to be in your pocket! Haven has a quirk that makes her look from side to side when she trots occasionally. In addition, she has a suspensory ligament issue that makes it hard to get her back feet trimmed. Due to that, Haven is not a riding prospect and is seeking a forever home as a companion horse. She will do best with an intermediate handler. Haven stands well for the vet and is working on boosting her confidence with the farrier. Haven stands at approximately 14.1 hands tall. This horse is up-to-date on shots, Coggins, dental care, farrier work, and is microchipped. Age is an estimate. 🧡Please fill out an interest in adoption form on our website to learn more and schedule an appointment: https://www.hsnt.org/ranch When you adopt, you are not just giving a second chance to an animal in need; you are becoming a part of HSNT's critical rescue work.
