Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Filly Age: 3 Height: 15.0hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Driving, Eventing, Western Pleasure, Trail Riding, Endurance, Dressage, English Pleasure, Hunter/Jumper, Prospect for Any Discipline Adoption fee: $1,750 Location: After the Races — Elkton, MD I Think I Can is a lovely, 3 year old, 15 hand bay filly who came to us in partnership with New Start for Horses based out of Penn National. This girl was born in Ireland and purchased and brought over to the US where she ran just 8 times and retired sound due to her great connections at Wasabi Ventures who let her retire early when she was just a bit too slow for their racing goals. They did say she was always nice to work with. I Think I Can has been lovely to handle since arrival and has no vices. Our vet found her sound and "clean as a whistle" on her intake evaluation. This pretty girl should have no limitations going in to her next career and with her athletic build could go in just about any direction! I Think I Can is going to be enjoying some well deserved downtime to let down from racing and be a horse. While we're never in a hurry, she is available in the meantime to someone who is comfortable restarting an OTTB themselves and has the right experience to bring her along. After the Races is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Rescue website: http://www.aftertheraces.org
