About this item

Breed: Miniature Horse Gender: Gelding Age: 11 Height: 8.0hh Color: Paint/Pinto Disciplines: Equine Affaire, Companion, Other Adoption fee: $800 Location: Susquehanna SPCA — Cooperstown, NY Meet Axle! Don't let his little legs fool you, because Axle is pretty convinced he's the biggest horse in the barn! With his striking looks and larger-than-life personality, this handsome 11-year-old little guy is quite the character! Axle is a bold, curious, and adventurous fellow who seems ready to take on just about anything. He's the type of pony who's always eager to investigate something new and see what the world has to offer. He's confident, knows what he wants, and isn't afraid to make his presence known. Life with Axle is certainly never boring! For all his spunk, Axle is generally a pleasure to handle. He can have a few opinions when it comes to farrier visits, but he's manageable and can work through those moments. He's a confident, strong-minded little character who would do best with someone who appreciates a pony with personality. Axle was previously a stallion and has lived successfully with full-sized mares. That said, he may have some overconfidence issues when meeting new equine friends, so thoughtful introductions to new horses will be important in his next home. He's accustomed to being stalled and enjoying some time out on grass each day. We think Axle would make a wonderfully entertaining addition to a barn or pasture looking for a little extra personality! He's not the type to fade into the background, and that's part of what makes him so endearing. Whether he's confidently exploring his surroundings, checking in for a snack, or simply showing off his handsome looks, Axle has a way of making himself the center of attention. If you're looking for a spunky, adventurous little companion with the confidence of a draft horse packed into a pint-sized package, Axle might just be your guy! Susquehanna SPCA is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Rescue website: http://sqspca.org
