PLEASE INQUIRE FOR MOST RECENT FEES NAME - Yvette BIRTHDATE - 2014 GENDER - Mare BREED - Standardbred HEIGHT - 16.2 HH COLOR - Bay LOCATION - Morgantown | West Virginia Fee: 800 Pasture sound only Yvette is a big thick 16.2 hh Standardbred mare. She has spent most her life just living in a field with her sister but since being worked with she has been a lovely mare. She has a huge willingness to please and is a smart cookie who learns fast. She loves a good head rub, and although she still needs work on being confident in her own skin and not wanting held like a 3lb lap dog, she shows a lot of promise. She is currently working on standing tied quietly, learning to yield her shoulders and hips, and how to focus on her handler not her friends. She stands quietly for grooming and the farrier and walks politely on a loose leadrope. Follow her progress at #hopteamyvette. Horses are typically located in the Appalachian area, but please inquire about a horse's specific location when you apply! We are looking to adopt to safe homes. A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first-time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons. Foal adoptions require previous, established experience with youngsters. Our adoption process makes sure you get the right horse for you – it is a no-fail process for finding the right match.
