About this item

Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Gelding Age: 10 Height: 16.0hh Color: Chestnut Disciplines: Dressage, English Pleasure, Hunter/Jumper, Lessons/Therapy, Therapy - Non-Riding, Companion, Trail Riding Adoption fee: $2,500 Location: Hope For Horses, INC at Advantage Horsemanship — Fredericksburg, VA Queso, as we call him, is a REALY cool guy! Queso raced for quite a while and actually..... holds the current record at Gulfstream on the all-weather track for a mile and 70 yards! His sire is the super famous, Ghostzapper and Queso made more than $500,000! He came to us a few months after turning 10 and needing to retire. Queso has been being ridden by advanced and intermediate teens here and has even attended two different hunter shows so far with no groundwork needed. One show was in an outdoor arena and the other in an indoor! Queso can w/t/c but we have been focusing on consistency at the trot recently. He is a pretty chill guy that has taken everything in stride. He does have a trot with a decent amount of suspension so posting is much more comfortable for you and him. He fields with geldings here and is the very, very bottom man in the field. He stands excellent for the vet and farrier, tying, tacking and grooming. Loads and hauls great. He has not shown any behaviors on the ground or under saddle. Hope for Horses, Inc. is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Hope for Horses, Inc. here on tacktack to ask about Fly The W "Queso" and the adoption process.
