About this item

Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Gelding Age: 13 Height: 16.1hh Color: Bay Disciplines: Prospect for Any Discipline Adoption fee: $950 Location: Second Stride — Crestwood, KY 13 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in KY Flatter (A.P. Indy) out of Greenstreet by Street Cry (IRE) 16.1 hands. He last raced in 2021 and retired with earnings of over $261,000! He did have a sesamoid fracture in 2022 that has now healed. He does have some arthritis in the fetlock and may require daily joint support for sport use. He is currently sound at all gaits. Star is a lovely older gelding who has been retired for 5 years and has settled into retirement. He is well-behaved for grooming and stands politely for the vet and farrier. He has been respectful of his handlers and walks nicely on a lead rope. He is quiet when out with a group of geldings and enjoys his stall time as well. An intelligent, classy horse. Casino is progressing well with his training. With a stronger rider asking for performance, Casino brings energy to the job. With a quiet rider who asks little of him, he responds with a quiet ride. He should do well with a solidly intermediate level rider. Casino has the look of a dressage prospect and also enjoys a relaxed trail ride. Casino will be suitable for low to mid level flat disciplines. He can hop over logs on the trail but is not best employed primarily for jumping. He was castrated in November 2025. He currently is the bossy but non-aggressive leader of a gelding group. Second Stride is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale.
