Albion is a quality heritage saddle brand, and this saddle shows it. This Albion SLK High Head Wide 17.5" dressage saddle is about 20 years old and has the cosmetic wear to prove it. However, the panels were recently completely reflocked and tree checked for soundness and alignment, and it will ship with brand new billets. This would be a perfect saddle for the dressage rider on a budget, a young or developing horse, or a trail rider who prefers the security of a good dressage saddle. Fit: Albion saddles tend to be a very forgiving fit. The High Head model is meant to be a close-contact feel while still being accommodating for higher withers and also has a bit of a cutback. This is a true wide saddle, and has a wide (4-fingers) channel for spinal clearance. Feel: The deep seat, high head, and integrated block on this saddle create a very secure feel. It will put you right in the sweet spot. Some riders dislike the high head model for posting trot. Condition: Has the cosmetic blemishes you would expect on a 20-year old saddle, shown in the photos to the best of our ability.
