Follow his progress at #hopteamsport. https://www.facebook.com/marley.v.oliver From the Trainer 7/9/26 I don’t like to post videos of myself riding anymore but I have to it for the ATFO If it looks like I’m struggling, it’s because I am lol. I haven’t started a colt since before I had Ryker. So the up and down side to side all over the place seat has me not super confident. But with both of us going slow and learning to trust one another, we are figuring out how to lope under saddle confidently. We just started loping a couple weeks ago under saddle. He is unsure about why I’m having him move forward and out more than I have the past two weeks. If you have been around these past couple of weeks I apologize for having to witness my pure chaos moments iykyk He’s been learning to give to pressure in his face instead of brace and push through the bridle when he gets nervous. A soft horse is a willing horse and a willing horse is a true partner when it comes to difficult situations that can arise That’s why you see him bouncing his head up and down some. He tries so hard to be so good and to please. I really hope people can see past my ugly riding and see the potential he has! He would make a fun little Ranch horse. Please if you’re considering filling out an application for potential bidding please consider this cute little Sporty. He is so kind and willing. From the trainer 6/7/26 Sport can sometimes get to where he likes to reserve his emotions. Although not much bothers him overall, he still has his moments where he completely loses his mind with no warning signs, but I have picked up on what he can’t handle which is simple. I’m not sure of his past but he seriously has some issues with a rope being thrown around him. He seems to be extremely head shy when it comes to fast moving things such as a rope or flag as if he has had some kind of ptsd from them. With that being said he is coming along and is starting to release his tension quicker rather than continuing to flee. - he also has a issue with any spray bottles. Nothing crazy he just says I’d rather not Now on to the cool things! - this horse will literally go over ANY thing I have put in front of him. Tarps, pedestal, mattress, mud, water, bridge, logs. So I’m going to start trying some more fun things like balloons, cans, milk jugs and more! -we’ve hauled to a new arena and he was perfect and actually he was so relaxed he laid down and rolled in the arena on the line. - he lunges both directions saddles like a dream and is great for the farrier. He loads with ease as well! -on day 2 he learned how to sit! And we try to do that weekly to keep him honest. -we do have a handful of rides on him! He has been a easy start but I wanted to make sure he was soild before we move on to learning basics. Most of our rides have been on a line or in the round pen. To build his confidence to be someone’s life long partner in the near future! -he bridles well but is not soft in the face yet we will get there. This month is going to be a ton of progress under saddle while last month was hounding in on ground work and just getting to know each other. We are looking to adopt to safe homes. A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first-time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons. Foal adoptions require previous, established experience with youngsters. Our adoption process makes sure you get the right horse for you – it is a no-fail process for finding the right match.
