Breed: American Quarter Horse Gender: Mare Age: 8 Height: 14.3hh Color: Chestnut Disciplines: Barrel Racing/Timed Western, Reining, Therapy - Non-Riding, Western Pleasure, Companion, Trail Riding, Working Cow Events, English Pleasure, Ranch Horse/Versatility, Western Performance Adoption fee: $6,500 Location: Healing Heroes Through Horsemanship β Arroyo Grande, CA Lolita is an ~8-year-old unregistered Quarter Horse mare with a kind, people-oriented nature and a strong foundation on the ground. She is exceptionally sweet — the type that will follow you around the corral while you’re cleaning and genuinely enjoys being groomed and handled. Her ground manners are excellent, and she is respectful and straightforward to work with. Recently started under saddle, Lolita is still green and will benefit from continued, consistent development. She is athletic with a good mind, but at this stage is best suited for an intermediate to advanced rider who can provide a calm, confident ride and help bring her along correctly. She is currently in Western training in a hackamore, as she has shown a preference for bitless work. She remains responsive and manageable, demonstrating sensitivity rather than resistance, and does well with a quiet, steady approach. With her natural athleticism and willing disposition, Lolita has the potential to develop into a capable and versatile partner in the right program. She will do best with a rider who is patient, consistent, and confident — someone who can continue building her foundation while appreciating the genuinely kind horse she already is on the ground.
