Breed: Thoroughbred Gender: Mare Age: 11 Height: 16.0hh Color: Chestnut Disciplines: Trail Riding, English Pleasure Adoption fee: $2,000 Location: Horses' Haven — Howell, MI Meet Josie! If you’re looking for a flashy, fun trail partner, Josie may be your girl! This beautiful 11-year-old Thoroughbred mare came to us after her owners moved to a private island that doesn’t allow horses. (We’re still deciding if we’re jealous or not! 😂) They wanted to make sure Josie had a soft landing in the safety net of Horses’ Haven. Josie has put her time in in the arena and knows the drill, but these days she’d much rather hit the trails and enjoy some recreational riding. She’s happy to get out and explore and especially enjoys trail rides with a group. She’s good for grooming, tacking, and mounting, stands well tied or cross-tied, and is good for the vet and farrier. Josie requires stifle injections to stay comfortable in work and is currently building muscle, and overall fitness. Josie would be a great fit for a confident, advanced beginner to intermediate rider looking for a fun recreational and trail partner. She’d love someone who enjoys going out for adventures. Horses' Haven is a rescue; this horse is for adoption, not for sale. Message Horses' Haven here on tacktack to ask about Josie and the adoption process.
