About this item

Breed: American Paint Horse Gender: Mare Age: 15 Height: 15.0hh Color: Paint/Pinto Disciplines: English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Trail Riding, Prospect for Any Discipline Adoption fee: $2,000 Location: Horses' Haven — Howell, MI Annie is a beautiful Paint mare with a sweet personality and just enough spunk to keep things fun! She is a personable, enjoyable mare who would make a wonderful riding companion for someone looking for a fun horse to enjoy and spend time with. Annie is continuing to develop a nice, consistent walk and trot, and her canter is coming along as well. She has a decent amount of energy and is learning to channel that energy into good manners and becoming a more reliable partner. She benefits from consistency, clear communication, and a rider who is comfortable helping her stay focused. Annie is a good trail horse with a confident rider and would be well suited to someone looking for a companion for trail riding, casual riding, or other lower-intensity disciplines. She has enough personality to keep things interesting and is the kind of mare who can be a lot of fun once you get to know each other. She is good for the vet and farrier and can either be stalled at night or live outside with appropriate shelter in a herd of mares. Annie does require ongoing hock maintenance and shoes. Due to a history of rotation she also needs thoughtful diet and pasture management, including limited access to grass. Annie is best suited to a confident, capable rider who is comfortable with a mare who is still polishing her manners and consistency. She isn't looking for a high-pressure job—she would much rather find someone who wants a fun, enjoyable riding partner for trails and leisurely adventures. With the right home, Annie could be a wonderful recreational riding companion—sweet, spunky, beautiful, and ready to find her person.
