The Rubber Jointed Tom Thumb Pelham has a single jointed stainless steel mouthpiece covered with rubber to soften the feel in the horse's mouth. The rubber coating also makes the mouthpiece a bit thicker so pressure is dispersed over a wider surface. Short Pelham cheeks Includes flat link curb chain and hooks Rubber Jointed Tom Thumb Pelham from Shires Equestrian has shorter cheeks than a regular pelham. The Tom Thumb style cheeks have less leverage for a milder effect. The pelham bit can be used with two reins or with a single snaffle rein and pelham converter (not included).
